Buying blinds has officially entered the future – and Ziptrak is leading the charge with an AI update to their longstanding design tool that’s making waves across the industry.
The Design Your Blind tool is turning what used to be a guessing game into an engaging experience for customers and a powerful sales tool for retailers.
Design Your Blind lets users explore both outdoor and interior Ziptrak blinds like never before with five fun and flexible options:
• Spin and explore with interactive 3D
• Upload a photo of your own space
• Choose from sample images
• Use your device’s camera for a live background
• Or dive into Augmented Reality for a real-time preview
Whether you’re helping a customer on-site or they’re browsing from the couch, Ziptrak’s Design Your Blind tool makes it easy to visualise exactly how their blinds will look and feel, right down to system and fabric colour, skin porosity, and even how they’ll appear in different lighting.

A new day/night toggle shows all 25 mesh colours and clear PVC in varying light conditions on the outdoor sample images, so customers can see how their blinds will look in any light! And thanks to clever AI, the system can now detect windows and openings in uploaded photos and automatically size and place the blind; no dragging or resizing needed!
Once the customer lands on a design they love, they can save it, email it to themselves, or send it straight to a Ziptrak retailer to get started on a quote. Leads go to the retailer of their choice, helping drive business right across the Ziptrak network – installers, retailers, fabricators and beyond.
Even better? Seeing blinds in their own home or business builds a real emotional connection – boosting brand engagement and nudging customers closer to purchase. Design Your Blindkeeps people interacting with Ziptrak longer and loving every minute of it!
Proudly Australian made and owned for over 25 years, Ziptrak continues to lead the industry with smart, forward-thinking solutions.
