WHEN TWO IS BETTER THAN ONE

With demand on the rise for locally made products, Australian window furnishing manufacturer and distributor, TWO is further expanding its manufacturing capability with the opening of its second Australian factory in as many years.

The new facility – a 1530 square metre site in Newcastle, NSW, will deliver a stronger national footprint; ultimately enabling better dealer support via faster lead times, improved logistics and enhanced quality control.

TWO’s expansion comes at a time when there is a strong need to revitalise the local manufacturing industry more broadly in Australia; a shift that sits well with the company’s strategic direction and strong growth trajectory.

“Now more than ever, being able to support our dealers through a changing market is our absolute focus. Our goal is to deliver on our customers’ expectations and continue to invest in producing quality, Australian-made products,” said TWO Managing Director, Robert Blanch.

“Now with two factories, and transport, logistics and warehousing in all major states in Australia, TWO is well placed to meet the ongoing needs of our dealers and their customers on a reliable, local level.”

Following the successful opening of its first Australian based factory in Clontarf, QLD in 2019, TWO’s physical expansion bolsters an exciting growth phase for the company, which cements its position as the most locally focused supplier in Australia.

Kat Sivewright, TWO’s National Production Manager for both the QLD and NSW factories, says the Newcastle facility is now open for business, and presents an exciting time ahead – particularly with heightened demand currently being felt in the residential home improvement space.

“Opening the Clontarf facility last year proved a great learning curve for us. With the benefit of that experience, we are ready to hit the ground running and get on with the job – continuing to support our dealers and make great products right here in Australia.”

As well as expanding infrastructure nationally, TWO’s confident growth strategy also includes broadening its product offering. While it remains a trusted specialist in Shutters, the brand is now also growing their profile as a local manufacturer of Zipscreens and Roller Blinds – a repositioning shaped in close collaboration with their dealer network.

As Blanch explains, “We know that working in partnership with our dealers holds the key to our success. Quite simply, we will only do well if they do well, so we are committed to supporting them in expanding their businesses.”

Along with growing their product range, TWO has also brought about refinements to inhouse production processes, improving logistics and delivery, and providing dealers with greater flexibility in accessing new product specifications.

At its core, says Blanch, the company’s ethos is about providing a quality product and exceptional service and communication.

It is this commitment to two-way dialogue that underpins each and every decision made by the company – a strategy that has served TWO well since its modest beginnings in 2007.

Since then, TWO has a strong track record of solid growth, and in the face of a constantly changing environment, this collaborative approach is the core strategy they see as key to their success.

“We know from experience that no business achieves success without collaboration – particularly as we ride out this current uncertainty,” says Blanch. “It’s a TWO-way thing.”
