SRS Central lock ‘a gamechanger’

Issue 90 May 2023

Shaw Performance Hardware has launched an innovative central lock for its SRS system, designed to provide ease of use and a sleek minimalist look.

“Our new central locking system is a game changer for the window furnishings industry,” said Ben Hayek, Head of Division at Shaw Performance Hardware.

“Its invisible internal locking mechanism and patented design give homeowners the ability to secure their external screens with ease and elegance, without compromising on style or functionality.”

The SRS system is designed to withstand Australia’s harsh climate and coastal conditions, providing privacy, shade, and shelter from wind and rain. The system offers UV protection for outside furniture and prevents insects from entering the space, while still providing a view to the outside.

With a shading area of 5m width x 3m drop (or 15sqm), this low maintenance system is engineered with smart technology, neatly hiding its mechanics in elegant channels. The system comes with manual and motorised control options, as well as a Sleek Compact Color Matched Cassette.

Retailers can now use Shaw’s easy-to-carry working demo sample to improve their sales presentation. According to Hayek, “Customers receive a hands-on insight into the system’s design features, making it easier for them to see the benefits of our SRS system and central lock.”

Shaw’s SRS system with the innovative central lock is available through the company’s national distribution network and is described as ideal for installation with Shaw’s Dayscreen 1% and 5% external screen fabric, available in multiple widths and 17 colours.

“With this system, homeowners can now extend their homes with an all-year-around space that adapts to weather conditions during all seasons.”
