Somfy set to grow market for Sonesse

With more than 100 million motors sold to date, Somfy is focused on growing the market for its Sonesse range.

With the company’s R&D Centre in France equipped with four acoustic rooms for in-house testings, it continues to improve the sound quality of its motors, to add value to commercial and residential interior installations.

“The manufacturing of a Sonesse motor follows a strict process, with 100% of the motors tested at the end of the production line. Any abnormal noise detected will result in the rejection of the motor.”

The first Sonesse motor was launched in 2007, with the best-seller Sonesse 40 RTS – well known in the Australian market – launched in 2011. Ten years later, Somfy Oceania is the biggest seller of Sonesse 40 worldwide, based on motor volume.

“The Sonesse range is key for us to grow in the interior market, not only with our traditional wired Sonesse 40 range but also with our battery powered Sonesse 30 WireFree RTS motor,” said Laurine Massiot, Product Manager for Somfy Oceania.

“Our ambition is that quiet motors will become the standard on the market.”
