Somfy partners with Habitat for Humanity to rejuvenate men’s shelter

Somfy has continued its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility by working with Habitat for Humanity to upgrade a men’s shelter.

The company has a legacy of giving back to the community and lending a hand, financially and through volunteering efforts. This legacy is supported by Somfy Group’s vision ‘inspiring a better way of living accessible to all’, which is designed to pave the way for a future underpinned by corporate social responsibility.

“Via the Somfy Foundation, the group supports initiatives led by associations all over the world. 

“Locally, Somfy Oceania once again partnered with Habitat for Humanity -a not-for-profit organisation Habitat for Humanity which provides housing for the vulnerable and low-income families. 

This year, the team of Somfy volunteers spent the day cleaning and painting a men’s homeless shelter, helping to improve the environment of the men who reside there.

The activity is part of Habitat Australia’s Brush with Kindness campaign, aiming to connect volunteers and disadvantaged groups and help provide safe and secure shelter.

“We truly value having the opportunity to be able to assist the community we live and work in, whilst offering our team a rewarding work environment,” said Mary Ladu, Marketing Manager for Somfy Oceania. 

“Our partnership with Habitat for Humanity allows us to give the Somfy team a fulfilling experience by getting hands-on and even speaking with the people whose lives they are changing.”
