Somfy launches TaHoma switch motorisation solution

Issue 92 September 2023

Somfy has launched TaHoma switch, an open and scalable connected solution featuring hybrid compatibility with Somfy RTS products and Zigbee 3.0 technology.

The smart control, which was unveiled at SuperExpo 2023, promises to give suppliers the power to win over customers and easily sell motorised and connected equipment.

“Somfy’s connected equipment helps your customers make the most of their home,” said Mary Ladu, Somfy Oceania’s Marketing Manager.

“Daily life is enriched, repetitive and mundane tasks are automated, and new features are added to the home.”

The hub offers two personalised scene launcher buttons to centralise home equipment which can be customised to create scenes that fit your customer’s daily routines.

“It’s the perfect tool to ease customers’ daily routine and bring them greater peace of mind,” Ladu added.

GIVE YOUR BUSINESS THE POWER TO:

Sell more easily

Installing motorised equipment is the first step to making their life more comfortable and convenient. Adding connectivity brings valuable benefits thanks to centralisation and all the power of TaHoma. Connected equipment is now easier for you to sell.

GIVE YOUR CUSTOMERS THE POWER TO:

Customise scenes

The smart control has two scene launcher buttons which your customers can customise to launch their daily routines in just one touch. For example, they can set the “leaving home” scene: all blinds close and the lights switch off.

Control conveniently in three different ways:

• On the smart control

• At home, away or automatically using TaHoma app

• With a compatible voice assistant

TaHoma switch comes with the smart control and the new TaHoma application. In the app, your customers command directly what they want, or program their scenes to run automatically. Their devices respond whether they’re at home or away. They can also use simple voice commands to control their home using their Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa or Apple HomeKit, where applicable with selected Zigbee technology.

“Using TaHoma switch, customers can take it a step further, with the added benefit of compatibility with close to 300 types of Somfy and partner products.

“Linking a smart thermostat will improve energy efficiency, while adding a connected alarm will enhance peace of mind; the possibilities are endless.

“The experience for your customer is enhanced with added technology at their own pace, now or in the future.”

TaHoma switch is the first tool to be launched from Somfy’s TaHoma suite trio of complementary solutions designed to make connectivity simpler, more accessible, and more intuitive.

TaHoma suite includes TaHoma pro, giving you the power to commission more easily, and Serv-e-Go, giving you the power to service remotely.

The additional tools will be released alongside Somfy’s Zigbee 3.0 technology motors and solutions, the only complete loT solution — from mesh network to the universal language that allows smart objects to work together.
