Somfy adds Teleco lighting to its outdoor range

Issue 110 September 2026

With summer approaching, Somfy is building out an outdoor offer it says simplifies installations and optimises profitability.

Somfy has recently integrated Teleco into its portfolio, adding lighting to its outdoor living solutions.

Somfy RTS is embedded directly into Teleco’s hardware, creating a single solution for outdoor lighting and automation that is also controllable via the TaHoma switch hub.

“The outdoors has become a natural extension of the home, particularly across Australia,” says Mary Ladu, Marketing Manager for Somfy Oceania. “These spaces call for more comfort, more customisation and more reliability, and that is a great business opportunity for our customers.

“Our outdoor offer is robust and high performing, covering a wide range of applications, and is boosted by the addition of lighting with Teleco.”

Somfy says its Maestria motor for external screens has become a clear favourite amongst retailers since its introduction, setting the standard for premium external screen motorisation with smart obstacle detection and automatic recalibration.

With automatic limit setting modes and auto-learning to ensure self-tensioning, Maestria is designed to safeguard fabric and reduce the risk of costly warranty claims and call-out costs from fabric unspooling or jamming inside the headbox. Somfy says that gives consumers peace of mind and long-term cost benefits for both retailers and end users.

Maestria is compatible with all external screen types, control options and manual or automatic locking systems. Its detachable motor head cable simplifies pre-wiring and commissioning, while the 6-position star motor head allows flexible orientation during installation.

“The addition of Teleco is a game changer for what we can offer,” says Henri Laniece, Somfy Oceania’s General Manager. “We are building towards a truly complete ecosystem: indoors, outdoors, access, shading, lighting, heating, all connected and controllable in one place.”
