Silent Gliss recognised for noise reducing properties

Issue 90 May 2023

Silent Gliss has been recognised with the Quiet Mark certification for outstanding efforts in producing high-performance products that significantly reduce noise pollution in residential environments.

The Quiet Mark certification programme is an independent global initiative associated with the UK Noise Abatement Society that aims to reduce the harmful effects of environmental noise and enhance wellbeing at home and work. Following meticulous performance assessments carried out by the acoustic teams at Quiet Mark, Silent Gliss systems have been awarded the prestigious Quiet Mark certification.

“The negative impact of excessive noise on mental and physical health, productivity, and social cohesion is gravely underestimated,” said Simon Meyer, Managing Director of Silent Gliss by Peter Meyer.

2C Glider for noise absorption + stability

“With more people spending time at home due to Covid lockdowns, customers’ desire for a quieter environment has become more critical than ever. Quiet Mark advocates for leading brands and organisations that prioritise responsible acoustic design and work towards reducing noise pollution globally.”

The patented 2C (two-component) Glider, along with the motor’s powering the electrically operated Curtain Tracks and Blinds, were thoroughly evaluated for sound levels. Silent Gliss’ products all successfully passed the stringent Quiet Mark tests with flying colours.

Silent Gliss is proud to be a part of a reputable group of companies, including Dyson, Saint Gobain, and Rockwool, committed to making the world a more peaceful place to live and work.
