The 19th edition of R+T Asia from 28 to 30 May recently concluded with an impressive surge in attendance and heightened international involvement, making a significant impact on the sector and ushering in a new chapter for thetrade show in an international format.
The exhibition again showcased a dedicated focus on leveraging global industry resources and innovation. Organisers noted that despite the challenges posed by the global economy, the show saw a remarkable turnout of overseas audiences, surpassing pre-epidemic levels. This success reaffirms R+T Asia as the leading Asia-Pacific exhibition for sun shading systems and doors/gates, which remains the preferred platform for global trade in the industry, facilitating exchanges, collaborations, and innovations on an international scale.
“The recent relaxation and broadening of entry policies have once again positioned China as a key hub for international business cooperation. The ongoing exhibition has successfully garnered attention from global exhibitors and visitors with strong international backgrounds. Hosting over 700 renowned brands gates from more than 13 countries and regions, specialising in sun shading systems, automation and doors/gates, the event has showcased innovative products and cutting-edge technologies.”
With a total attendance of 54,443 visitors representing 111 countries, including 14,152 international visitors, the event exceeded initial estimates, making it the most well-attended since its establishment. This year’s edition of the exhibition has witnessed a significant surge in overseas visitors, marking a remarkable 23% increase from the previous year and surpassing the record number of international visitors noted in 2019. The robust participation highlights R + T Asia’s growing significance as a vital platform for industry it serves.
With bookings already underway for the 2025 exhibition, demand is high, as nearly 90% of the exhibition booths have already been secured. Companies who have confirmed their attendance next year include A-OK, Baolong, Chembo, Cube, Da’ai, Dooya, Garraf, Gumei, Huasheng, JuFeng, Sunfree, Kindesin, Luoya, Mingteng, Nine Nine Eight, Novo, Ri Dong, Tiansen, Wanbao, Xiangde, Xiaoxuanchuang, Xidamen, Xinjiyuan, Xiushui Tower, Yameite, Yuehai Taike and Zhenfei.

Exhibitor feedback highlights the success of the 2024 R+T Asia.
“R+T Asia has a huge impact on the entire industry and this year was our second time exhibiting at the show, bringing with us the full range of Coulisse motorised blinds,” said Brian Chen, Colulisee B.V. “It was a great pleasure to meet manufacturers and distributors from various regions in Asia Pacific, including Korea and Malaysia, and to show them our latest products and technologies.”

Bringing the globe together
R+T Asia 2024 facilitated global industry connections through the Hosted Buyer Programme, a venture that united buyer delegations from Europe, North America, and Southeast Asia, fostering cross-border partnerships and tailored engagements designed to enhance mutual benefits.
By extending invites to powerful global groups, especially those attending R+T Asia for the first time, the programme offered over 50 visiting buyers personalised booth tours tailored to their specific product interests, ensuring a targeted and productive exploration of exhibitor offerings. Furthermore, through a newly-forged alliance with Assotende, a symbol of innovation and unity in the sun shading sector among Italian companies, and the second-year cooperation with ACMI, the Italian association recognised for residential and industrial doors and shutters manufacturing – members of both were introduced to R+T Asia’s sun shading and door/gate exhibitors, initiating discussions on potential global synergies.
Seminars and workshops
Apart from extended product and service showcase, R+T Asia 2024 engaged participants with a range of seminars and workshops, creating a space for experts to exchange valuable insights. This move highlighted R+T Asia’s dedication to promoting the exchange of knowledge and innovation. Notable among these was the International Window and Door Summit (IWDS), which provided attendees with a broad perspective on innovative solutions toward more sustainable future in the field of sun shading and door/gate industries. Another memorable event, Designing with Nature organised by cadex, shed light on sustainable efforts on architectural, interior and product design, production process and marketing strategy to achieve sustainable and healthy development of the design industry. The Material Matters showcased creative material installations, creative spaces and material laboratories. Instead ITED Conference together with 30+ industry leaders in real estate, design, engineering discussed how to improve the energy efficiency and a lower the carbon emissions towards a greener future.
Joint events and partnerships
R+T Asia 2024 partnered with a lineup of significant events, including Domotex Asia/ Chinafloor 2024, a top flooring exhibition in the Asia Pacific region; HD+ 2024 Home Decoration Asia; Cadex, an international event for networking, learning, and business activities in the design and architecture field, and others. By coming together under the Build Asia Mega Show platform, these events aimed to facilitate a robust conversation across different industries, enabling integration across various channels and providing attendees with a comprehensive experience covering different aspects of building materials, construction and design.
