Phantom Screens promotes latest solution for apartment living

Anthony Gomez, Sales Development Manager at Phantom Screens, said such large widths are possible owing to unique engineering and design which eliminates the “smiley face” that is so prevalent with other brands trying to push their limits. 

Phantom has now launched the Exec Connect to target the residential apartment market and more.  

“If you drive around in any built up area, urban or rural, CBD or the suburbs, apartments are an ever increasing living option,” said Gomez. “For those people, the use of their space is very important so having an outdoor blind to create a year round living area is more than just a luxury, it becomes a necessity.”

Gomez noted that the most common end use of an outdoor blind is to create a functional all weather space, giving customers another room they can entertain in year round. Many apartment dwellers are also concerned with protecting their pets, meaning enclosing the balcony becomes a safety priority for them.

“Installing blinds into an apartment is problematic at best and impossible at worst. We often go out to do quotes only to find there is no way to get the blind up to the apartment. Stairs and lifts aren’t big enough, crane lifts are expensive or not possible and there are many health and safety issues with roping them up.

“With the Exec Connect, you no longer have to lose out. The system is shipped in two halves and the blind is rejoined on site, using Phantom’s unique design. 

The blind can span 6.5 metres wide and if combined with a battery motor, no electrician is required.

The Exec Connect adapts the technology that makes 12 metre wide blinds possible, said Gomez.

“The residential market is by far the biggest consumer of the Executive blind but commercial sales are on the increase, particularly as the market becomes familiar with our oversized capability and the Exec Connect’s ability to be split to install into apartment buildings,” he added.

Phantom Screens’ products are backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty. This means two years on labour, manufacturer’s warranty on fabrics, motors and remotes, lifetime warranty on extrusions and componentry.
