New year; new releases from Norman

Issue 88 January 2023

Norman Australia has kicked off the new year with the release of two new products on 1 January; SmartDrape window shading, and Motorised Portrait Honeycomb.

“SmartDrape offers room darkening – most other offers only have light filtering – with a redesigned clip system for easier installation, and reduced gaps between the top track and top of the vanes, which colour coordinate to the fabric so they are less noticeable, says Sheridan Cavdarski, Marketing & Communications Specialist at Norman Australia.

“The unique track design and system features a smoother, quieter SmartJoint that allows for connecting tracks and makes installation and transport easier, while being a clean join.

“Premium components include a soft touch wand that twists with ease, with a robust, high quality feel. Users can easily walk through the shade as each vane is separate; and the vanes are also easy to maintain and washable.”

“Meanwhile the Motorised Honeycomb is available in AC adapter format or innovative lithium ion battery with PowerBar; the PowerBar is unique as it can connect to a port on the shade with a handle. This makes it easier to reach and removes the need for stools or ladders – it can be a Cordless PowerBar with batteries that get charged for a truly cord-free option and good for those with dexterity concerns.

“It is supported by a remote control with multiple pre-programmed positions, or can be operated without a remote simply by bumping the bottom rail of the shade. There is also a sensing system that stops if an obstacle is encountered.”

“People want convenience and cutting-edge technology; they want ease and sophistication; they want quality options for shades.

SmartDrape is a long-awaited alternative to clever curtain systems, as it brings real quality and improvements. Honeycombs are ultra energy-efficient and now even more attractive with a motorisation system that is cord free.”
