Next year will see Messe Stuttgart and the Industrial Fabrics
Association International co-locating trade show events in the USA.
The organisers of R+T, the world’s leading trade show for roller shutters, doors and gates, and sun protection systems, will launch Sun Shading Expo in November 2021 in co-location with IFAI Expo.
“R+T has more than 50 years of expertise in the field of sun shading. The IFAI Expo is the leading North American trade show for premier industrial, specialty and advanced textiles, and therefore will increase its product scope through new product groups like interior and exterior sun shading. The core of the new trade show is the focus on internal sun shading, as well as elements of external sun shading – more precisely the product groups roller shutters and accessories, external blinds, internal sun shading, insect protection, drives and control systems – as well as building automation and intelligent house systems.”

The IFAI Expo has been organised by the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) since 1912 and is a leading association for specialty fabrics, intelligent fabrics and sun and weather protection systems. Steve Schiffman, President and CEO of IFAI, stated on the collaboration with R+T: “We are delighted to co-locate with Messe Stuttgart’s new Sun Shading Expo North America. We are always striving to improve the experience for all participants, and this will also provide the opportunity to enhance the overall value for our members, attendees and exhibitors. Messe Stuttgart Inc., the North American based subsidiary of Messe Stuttgart, will be responsible for managing the Sun Shading Expo. The experienced trade show team managed by Dirk Ebener, who led the project launch from the start, will work closely with the Stuttgart R+T team. The already existing R+T trade show network will provide important synergies and expertise in the entire launch of the fair.
The annual trade show will take place for the first time from November 2 to 4, 2021 in Nashville, Tennessee and at the same time as IFAI EXPO. The launch expands the worldwide competence network of the R+T trade shows, including the trade shows R+T in Stuttgart, R+T Asia, R+T Turkey, R+T South America and the new cooperation APA Expo by R+T in Spain.
