Somfy has announced the launch of its globally patented enhanced motor shaft, allowing for a faster installation of WireFree motors.
The new quick drive assembly saves up to 15 seconds, removing the need for installers to manually assemble a washer and screw to the motor shaft.
“The process is simple, you lift the C-ring to the open position, insert the drive wheel and push the C-ring down to secure,” said Somfy Oceania’s Product Marketing Executive Nicki Beggs.
“The enhanced motor shaft is available now with the Sonesse 30 WireFree RTS Li-ion [1240512], Altus 28 WireFree RTS Li-ion V2 [1241151], and Altus 28 WireFree RTS V2 [1241163], with plans to roll out the feature to all RTS battery motors by the end of 2026.”
