MARKETMAKERS MOVES INTO LOCAL MANUFACTURING WITH ALLURE BREEZE PROGRAM

Issue 91 July 2023

MarketMakers has announced the launch of its Allure Breeze manufacturing program, making its mark on the market for vertical sheer fabrics that offer elegance and privacy.

“We believe the market for a vertical sheer program is in its infancy. Consumers are looking for a sheer fabric but with a privacy factor – exactly what Allure Breeze provides,” Joshua Phipps, managing director of MarketMakers told WFA.

One of the standout features of Allure Breeze is its simple hanger system, which allows for easy installation. Phipps emphasised the user-friendly nature of the product, stating, “Allure Breeze uses a very simple hanger system – with the fabric vanes all independent of each other making it a breeze when it comes to installation.

Once the installers start to put Allure Breeze into homes, they won’t want to use anything else.”

The Allure Breeze hangers are designed to fit into a standard J Peg carrier, simplifying the production process for vertical track makers. This streamlined approach ensures efficient manufacturing and allows for cost savings.

MarketMakers has invested significantly in the Allure Breeze program by bringing in machinery and stock to produce locally. Phipps highlighted the company’s commitment to its customers, stating, “We wanted to show our customer base that Allure Breeze is a product and they need to get onboard and enjoy the upside.”

The Allure Breeze range offers seven distinct collections, including Contemporary, Impression, Lineal, Mosaic, and Nouveau, all available in standard widths. Additionally, MarketMakers has introduced the Retro range, inspired by the European origin of the product, featuring 10 rich colours. The company has also unveiled the Contemporary 90, a narrow width fabric with 21 colours to offer consumers a curtain-like appearance with the convenience of adjustable privacy.

An extensive colour palette is a key point of difference offered by MarketMakers, which offers a wider range of colours than other vertical sheer programs in the market. Speed is another point of difference; to ensure a faster turnaround time, MarketMakers has invested in state-of-the-art machinery that enables it to produce vanes more efficiently. By encouraging customers to use their existing vertical tracks, MarketMakers aims to reduce costs, particularly in regional areas where expensive transportation can be avoided.

As part of its expansion plans, the company has already hired one new staff member for the manufacturing process and anticipates the need for two or three more to keep up with growing demand.

MarketMakers maintains its strategic partnership model, with two or three supporters in each state capital collaborating in selling the Allure Breeze product. Phipps told WFA he was excited about the opportunities emerging from recent meetings at the BMAA SuperExpo and said he looked forward to nurturing those relationships in the coming weeks.
