Luxsol promises three-week lead times

Imported shutters have been the mainstay of the Australian market for over 20 years. The imported offering has become more and more refined and has generally offered a quality, simplified system, compared to what was available previously.

Previously you had to make your own deductions, specify panel sizes, number of hinges and other details, to a system now common in the market. One where everything is included in an easy-to-use metre square price. 

The advent of imported shutters led to acceptance of increased lead times, which had been around six weeks and started the decline in local shutter production.

Due to ongoing supply chain challenges and the fluctuation in exchange rates, the wheel has finally turned to make locally made product far more attractive. Retailers now have a real choice: wait 8-12 weeks for their imported product or potentially have shutters in windows within three weeks. When you think about the sped-up nature of consumer decision making, locally made shutters should now be front of mind for shutter retailers. Consumers make a decision and then want the solution as quickly as possible. With Luxsol in Sydney that is now achievable.

Luxsol has also announced that during July 2022, to encourage retailers to dip their toe in the water, they are guaranteeing their first order will be ready in under three weeks (ex-factory, Sydney) or it will be provided free. This is for one order, but with the investment made in state-of-the-art CNC machinery, the three-week lead time is an ongoing benchmark for Luxsol.

To give retailers peace of mind, Luxsol has also become a member of the Vinyl Council of Australia to operate in the safest, most sustainable way possible. It has had its Poly100 product independently tested – and passed – to international REACH standards, (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals), the highest internationally recognised standard testing for evidence of VOC’s. 

Not many companies test their products due to potential adverse findings and cost. Luxsol felt this was an important statement to make to the market, one that shows Luxsol takes its responsibility seriously to provide safe products.
