Luxsol launches new showroom

Issue 89 March 2023

Luxsol has fitted out its new showroom with Luxsol’s range of Poly100, Nexus50 and Woodland100 products, following the set-up of its shutter manufacturing facility in Sydney last year. To celebrate Luxsol has a very special offer in March on their Poly100AU.

Megan Wu, a director at Luxsol, said the showroom is part of the company’s long-term plan, adding that retailers are welcome to visit and bring in their own customers if they don’t have a showroom.

“It’s a great retail environment and a unique innovation in the industry for shutter distributors”.

“The Luxsol brand is becoming known in the industry for doing things right,” Wu said. “We have shown commitment and legitimacy by becoming a member of peak industry bodies the BMAA and the Vinyl Council of Australia.”

Luxsol’s parent company has been manufacturing shutters for over 20 years and distributing worldwide, experience and pedigree that is now being passed down to the Australian factory through the owners daughters, the directors of Luxsol.

“A great benefit Luxsol offers retailers is that they manufacture their Poly100AU shutters in Sydney in three weeks.”

“No more waiting for 12-14 weeks for shutters. Missed opportunities in the past were common as distributors could not guarantee lead times to their customers if their shutters were coming from overseas. Luxsol has solved that problem by manufacturing locally.”

“For imported products, retailers no longer need to deal with a factory in China or handle their own logistics to get great value. They can work with our Australian office with the benefit of paying for their products in $AUD, a great relief with fluctuating exchange rates.”

According to Wu, Luxsol is in a unique position having the backing of an overseas company and being the Australian office, so customers work together with an Australian team.

“Luxsol can satisfy all shutter requirements as they supply an impressive range of products, including: Woodland100 timber; Nexus50 hybrid and Poly100 synthetic, all at the best value for money in the market.”

“Luxsol is one of very few companies to have submitted their Poly100 product to be tested to the internationally recognised REACH standard (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals).

“The aim of REACH is to: ‘Provide protection of human health and the environment from the use of chemicals standards’. Luxsol has a commitment to operate ethically, sustainably and provide products to internationally recognised standards. The testing actually proves the absence of VOCs in Luxsol’s Poly100 product.”

Last year Luxsol launched the innovative Nexus50. In the past distributors have used timber framing with PVC louvres for combination products. Nexus50 is Luxsol’s solution where a wider panel is required and there is a likelihood of moisture getting in a window or there is a condensation problem. Nexus50 reduces the weight of tradition PVC and minimises the risk of moisture ingress into the material. As the frame used Poly100 synthetic material and a more moisture resistant timber louvre.

Luxsol also has a 100% organic, environmentally friendly and sustainable timber shutter made from furniture grade Basswood called Woodland100. Basswood is the timber, which is the most tried and tested furniture grade hardwood used for plantation timber shutters. Over 20% lighter than PVC and therefore able to provide wider panels and the ultimate window furniture. The timber is reverse grain engineered for stability and yield, which means less waste. Kiln drying in a humidity controlled environment helps meet strict moisture content specifications and to suit the Australian environment, providing the most stable shutter available in the market.
