Gummerson Fabrics, home of Hoad Textiles, has been purchased by Legend Linen, one of Australia’s most recognised bedding design and wholesale houses.
Legend Linen distributes Logan & Mason, Private Collection and Davinci bed linen brands and is in turn owned by Mittal, one of the words premier textile manufacturers out of India.
Legend Linen and Mittal Australia Managing Director Sunny Mittal confirmed the sale to Window Furnishings Australia saying the deal which included all staff, stock and premises was finalised on the 1st of February 2022.
“Furnishings is a great fit as we don’t operate in that part of the home sector; Hoad is a great addition for us and opens up new avenues for our design team, which is our real strength and passion,” Mittal said.
“There will be no changes to the structure including management or account managers, our focus is to continue to invest in design and maintain and grow strong stock holdings.”
Mittal said that there were a number of business synergies generated by the acquisition particularly in the design area and sourcing.
“We are excited to be part of the Hoad business and the window furnishing business as a whole, the Hoad team have been doing a fabulous job and we will be supporting them in any way that we can,” he added.
