Celebrating 28 years of service – Farewell to Lynn Potesil

Issue 105 November 2025

After an incredible 28 years of outstanding contribution as our Executive Officer, Lynn Potesil concluded her employment with the WSAA on Monday, 13 October 2025.

Lynn’s name has been synonymous with the BMAA and now WSAA for nearly three decades. Her involvement began in August 1997, when she firstly provided secretariat services to our Association through the CCIQ. In 2013, Lynn officially joined the then BMAA as a full-time employee, and since then she has been the steady and reliable hand behind so many of the Association’s key activities.

As Executive Officer, Lynn has managed all our administrative services, including as our Company Secretary. Lynn has also played a vital role in delivering nine SuperExpos and gala dinners, ensuring these cornerstone events ran seamlessly for members and industry alike.

For more than a decade, Lynn has worked from an office generously provided by The Nolan Group in Yatala, Queensland. This has been her base from which she has supported members across Australia with professionalism, warmth, and an unwavering commitment to the industry.

Lynn’s contribution to our Association leaves an enduring legacy of knowledge, care and stability. Her dedication has helped shape the Association into what it is today, and she will be deeply missed by the Board, our members, and all who have had the pleasure of working with her.

On behalf of all WSAA members, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Lynn for her outstanding service and wish her every happiness in her next chapter.

Plans are currently underway to recruit a Membership & Communications Manager role which will also play a key role in continuing our service.
