Sunshine Coast-based blind and awning wholesale fabricator Betta Blinds and Awnings has recently invested in its own fleet of trucks to provide more consistent delivery times.
Tyler Nicholls from Betta Blinds and Awnings says that having their own trucks means that customers are dealing with the Betta Blinds team all the way through the process.
“This means that our friendly drivers are more dedicated to ensuring products are handled with care.”
“It also allows us to quickly follow up on any shipping related customer concerns.”
The company produce products for Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland with the freight service currently delivering as far north as Cairns and as far south as Newcastle.
“Blind and Awning products can be a little bit of a challenge for shipping companies. When you have long products that need to look perfect, regular shipping companies can fall a little short,” Nicholls told WFA.
“Looking after our own freight means that we can protect and organise our customers’ orders to a higher standard.”
Betta Blinds has been operating since 1999 and now has 52 staff members but faced a rocky start with Director Damien Nicholls’s parents losing their house while trying to keep Betta Blinds and Awnings afloat.
“Damien took over the business and started working out of his carport. Damien was doing both manufacturing and installations but as the business grew Betta Blinds and Awnings shifted to purely manufacturing,” Nicholls said.
“As Betta Blinds continued to grow the carport was upgraded to a shed, then a warehouse then an even bigger warehouse.”
“Now Betta Blinds manufactures an extensive range of internal and external products to the highest standard, without losing our ties to our humble beginnings.”
The company now manufactures a large range of internal blinds including Roller Blinds, Vertical Blinds, Veri Shades, Roman Blinds, Wood Look Venetians and Zipscreen Skylight Blinds.
“We also specialise in external products including Zipscreen and Ziptrak and manufacture plenty of Folding Arm Awnings from Shaw (Base Plus, Australia R-90, Australia R-Pitch) and Rollease Acmeda (Feng and Kumo).”
“Additionally, our Betta Range of Awnings is super popular option for customers that are operating on a lower budget but still want a high-quality product.”
The Betta Range of Awnings includes Betta 1000 Spring Operated Awning, Betta 2000 Auto Lock Arm Awning, Betta 3000 Multi Stop Awning, Betta 4000 Drop Arm Awning, Betta 5000 Lock Down Crank Awning, Betta 6000 Side Channel Awning, Betta 7000 Wire Guide Awning.
The company has built a solid list of satisfied customers up and down the east coast of Australia.
“Betta Blinds and Awnings are an absolute pleasure to deal with,” said Carrisa Lynch From Northside Shutters.
“From the knowledge and advice received by the office team to the end product, we are always 100% satisfied with the service we receive.”
Garry Whyte from Another Blind Man said that he been dealing with Betta Blinds for over 20 years and have seen them grow from a one man business to an amazing company on the Sunshine Coast.
“Their range is second to none, quality is a must and products are ready in a short amount of time.”
“Using Betta Blinds is a plus for our business as they are locally manufactured, employing locals and best of all Australian Made,” Whyte added.
