Artscape: artwork for windows

Issue 93 November 2023

Window furnishings veteran Grant Norton has introduced Artscape window films.

Norton is known for his innovative approach, in particular through his notable tenure at Blindware, where he was at the forefront of introducing novel window solutions to the Australian and New Zealand markets.

“Artscape decorative window films have revolutionised window aesthetics in the USA, Canada, and beyond, but the Australian and New Zealand market hadn’t fully embraced this innovation – until now,” Norton said in a recent interview. “The introduction of these films in October has marked a new era in window decoration and privacy solutions.”

“These films, celebrated for their adhesive-free application, ensure a hassle-free experience for the user.” Said Norton. “The beauty of Artscape films lies in their simplicity. There’s no sticky residue, and installation is as easy as using soap, water, and a squeegee.”

The films not only offer an elegant alternative to traditional window treatments but also provide significant protection from UV rays, blocking up to 90% of harmful radiation.

Norton emphasises the artistic appeal of Artscape films: “They are not just window films; they are a tribute to the elegance of stained glass. The unique printing technique with raised, textural inks gives these films a glass-like appearance, mimicking the classic beauty of stained glass windows.”

Founded in 1995, Artscape has established itself as a leader in the decorative window film industry.

“Each design is a testament to the artistry behind these films, with meticulous attention to colour, texture, and depth,” Norton remarks, highlighting the brand’s dedication to quality and aesthetic appeal. “The hand-rendered designs are indistinguishable from real glass art, adding a touch of class and inspiration to any interior.”

“Artscape’s commitment to the environment is also noteworthy,” Norton adds, pointing out that their products are phthalate-free. “It’s not just about beautifying spaces; it’s about doing so responsibly.”
