Louvolite has launched an updated version of its Vision program, which features an increased number of SKUs and sophisticated yarns with multiple-colored fibres to provide additional depth. Vision, originally introduced by Louvolite as a new blind concept, has become a staple in the industry’s offerings and is also known by other names, including Duo Blind, Day Night, and Zebra.
The company told WFA the success of the Vision program began with Louvolite’s efforts to take the product to the industry and through them to the consumer. The program was presented in a compact and varied selection of fabrics mounted on a 4-section fold-out presentation card, which was inserted into every new roller shade book that the company launched that year. The presentation card featured a mounted piece of Vision fabric that could be moved up and down to help illustrate how the new window furnishing operated.
David Kennedy from Louvolite says the program takes the Vision offering to a new level, and the updated version breaks new ground yet again with the increased number of SKUs included in the program.
The official launch of Louvolite’s new Vision program was on 1 February, and the company believes that having vision in the business is critical to success.
“Such an important program needs to be presented in a way that invigorates the customer, and there is no doubt that the Louvolite presentation does exactly that,” says Kennedy.
“The program is presented in a colour spectrum format with corresponding print designs interleaved between woven solids and jacquards, providing customers with a new selection of beautiful Vision fabrics with each turn of the page.”
“Louvolite has once again demonstrated its commitment to providing innovative and high-quality products to the window furnishings industry, and the updated Vision program is sure to be a hit among customers.”
Kennedy says that the weaves now feature sophisticated yarns with multiple-coloured fibres to provide additional depth – metallic yarns are used to create mildly reflective weaves.
“Panel sizes are no longer restricted to one size but include larger panels to better satisfy larger windows or create a bold effect at others.”
“Whilst you cannot really ever achieve a total blockout effect with a Vision blind, an increased number of fabrics featuring blockout panels coupled with alternating voile or more open translucent weaves give the consumer a wider choice than before.”
“Louvolite has also created a number of appropriate designs which it now offers as print variants using the unique banded construction of Vision to create flowing artwork which changes as the blind is operated. These really do have to be seen to be appreciated and there is no doubt that the programme takes the Vision offering to a new level.”
