SUPEREXPO 2019 EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS

ISSUE 67 JULY 2019

Over 5,500 visitors descended on the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre for SuperExpo 2019 from 12-14 June 2019.

SuperExpo 2019 took more than 12 months to plan, four days to build and filled just over 6,860 square metres of space, making it our biggest ever show! Every available space was filled with displays and the custom-built stands were nothing short of spectacular. Stands were more inventive than ever, with everything from free massages, coffee, macarons and cakes, giveaways, smoothies, popcorn and liquid refreshments at the end of the day.

The three days represented an unparalleled showcase of the latest in innovation and information. With a total of 110 booths and representing 130+ companies, exhibitors were on hand to demonstrate their latest products, services and equipment. Display stands were of an international standard and showed the enormous commitment and effort put in by exhibitors.

We would especially like to again acknowledge and thank Super Expo 2019 Sponsors:

  • Platinum Sponsor: Hunter Douglas,
  • Gold Sponsors: Croci Australia, Gale Pacific, Lifestyle Blinds, Market Makers (Aust) Pty Ltd, Nice elero, Ozroll and Rollease Acmeda.

For the first time we embraced Pop-Up Radio with interviews of exhibitors and sponsors and podcasts that were a huge hit, both before and during the show, creating great content for their digital channels.

SuperExpo provided a networking focal point with the opportunity to meet suppliers and colleagues at a number of functions during expo week. Tuesday saw the SuperExpo Golf Day take place under beautiful sunny skies at the RACV Royal Pines Resort. Tuesday night’s official Welcome Reception at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre was attended by over 200 guests. Chris Nolan, Chairman of the SuperExpo 2019 Committee, welcomed everyone to the Gold Coast at the outdoor event held under balmy skies. During the three days, many exhibitors hosted their own functions for customers at various locations on the Gold Coast.

A number of business sessions were held during the show. Of specific note was the BMAA Energy Rating seminar held on Thursday morning. Several training sessions also took place over the three days. In addition, BMAA and the Specialised Textiles Association both held General Meetings during the show to take advantage of the large number of members present.

BMAA delivered on its reputation to deliver the biggest industry party – the Grand Finale of SuperExpo – the Gala Dinner. More than 650 guests attended the dinner and were able to dance the night away to three fabulous bands.

The Gala Dinner included the announcement of the new Hall of Fame inductees – Chris Nolan (the Nolan Group) and Tony de Maaijer (Ziptrak Pty Ltd). These two gentlemen were formally recognised for their contribution to our industry. Congratulations to both Chris and Tony!

SuperExpo 2019 was a resounding success. See you in 2022!
