Blinds by Peter Meyer’s Simply Cell collection expands the Australian honeycomb market

Blinds by Peter Meyer is responding to the growing popularity of Honeycomb Blinds in Australia with its new Simply Cell Honeycomb Blinds system.

“Honeycomb blinds have been favoured over Pleated blinds over the past six years, and we predict that this trend will continue due to their insulating capabilities,” Simon Meyer, Managing Director of Blinds by Peter Meyer, explains.

“Furthermore, Honeycomb blinds are suitable for a wide range of window styles, making them a versatile window covering option.”

Meyer says that with the introduction of WincovER by the BMAA, Honeycomb blinds are expected to perform even better in terms of energy efficiency, which should further increase their demand and popularity in the future. As a result, Blinds by Peter Meyer now offers Pleated blind fabrics by indent only and has seen growth in the Honeycomb blinds market since the release of the Simply Cell system.

“The Simply Cell Honeycomb Blind systems combines technology with design,” says Meyer. “The previous Honeycomb and Pleated blinds system has been revamped, with a focus on clean, elegant lines and a consistent aesthetic across all profiles, regardless of their shape.”

“The cord lock is suitable for freehanging, rectangular, and sloped systems. Additionally, the new flat internal mounting bracket reduces light gaps between the system and the window rebate, while allowing for easy removal.”

“The Rooftop Skylight concept designed specifically for Velux and Fakro Skylights is another interesting feature. It utilises U-Profiles as side guides and a brush weatherstrip to reduce stray light, enhancing our Skylight blind offering,” Meyer says.

In addition to the innovative system, Blinds by Peter Meyer offers a range of Honeycomb fabrics that can be used across their Honeycomb blind systems. The new Simply Cell collection comprises 196 fabrics, making it a comprehensive range of Honeycomb fabrics available in Australia.

“Our fabrics are versatile and can be adapted to suit various situations, whether you need shaped, skylight, free-hanging, or pre-tension blinds, as well as crank operated and motorised solutions,” Meyer explains.

The collection features a wide variety of colours, including matching translucent and blockout options, and printed designs that coordinate effectively. There is also a selection of florals and textures that are designed to appeal to different tastes. These designs, featuring bright colours, ombre effects, and nature-inspired patterns, contribute to the diversity of the Australian market.
