NEW LOCATION FOR INNOVATION AND GROWTH

ISSUE 81 November 2021

Ziptrak has opened a new South Australian facility aligned with its commitment to innovation, product improvement and network training and support, meaning the company is now positioned to bring leading-edge products to market more efficiently and rapidly. WFA reports.

With origins spanning three decades, starting with the invention of the patented track-guided blind system, South Australian track-guided blind specialist Ziptrak has long been recognised for its focus on quality and reliability.

Today, the company exports to 14 countries and has a network of 700+ retailers and Authorised Fabricators globally, and, as Managing Director Tony de Maaijer says, also remains as committed as ever “to our purpose of manufacturing market-leading shade products known worldwide for their robustness, reliability, and innovation.”

De Maaijer tells WFA the company has now added weight to this vision with a move into new purpose-built facility in the heart of the Tonsley Innovation District in Adelaide.

The relocation consolidates three Ziptrak locations into a single 3,500 square metre, custom-made building, hosting manufacturing, assembly, distribution, office spaces, as well as a dedicated area for prototyping, research, and development.

“This new site with top-of-the-line machinery for manufacturing and increased warehousing is a crucial component in improving stock availability and order to supply turnaround times, improving our ability to service our ever-growing Australian and Global Ziptrak network,” he says.

“Our new facility demonstrates Ziptrak’s willingness to continue to invest in innovation, product improvement and network training and support to bring the best, most innovative products to the market more quickly.”

The opening of the new facility will consolidate Ziptrak’s commitment “to quality, efficiency and speed to market, consistently adding value for our business and industry partners.”

“As a family business proudly producing Australian made products and supporting hundreds of businesses in the network, we continually invest in growing the relationship with existing and new fabricators and retailers that share our values in offering high quality products and exceptional customer service.”

“Ziptrak is the original and patented track-guided blind system, the leading system with the smoothest spline system available allowing the blind to glide effortlessly whilst retaining cross blind tautness. The unique design ensures Ziptrak blinds continue to operate in the hardest conditions, adding value and comfort to people’s living environments. “

De Maaijer said the new facility underlined Ziptrak’s commitment to producing Australian-made products “known worldwide for their robustness, reliability, and innovation.”

We are committed to ensuring all partners within the Ziptrak network continue to benefit from products and systems that consumers request by name and love to use.”
