Nestled among rolling hills and high end homes in the semi-rural town of Picton, on the outskirts of South West Sydney, lies an exquisite property within the picturesque Stonequarry Estate. Renowned for its rural atmosphere and exceptional homes designed to high architectural standards, this estate boasts a luxurious lifestyle just minutes from the township of Picton. In this elegant setting, Market Makers was recently commissioned to furnish a stunning acre abode with a variety of quality window furnishings that would seamlessly match the character of the home.
“The client wanted elegant furnishings – products that would be contemporary and clean, yet timeless all in one. We were excited to take on this challenge and create the perfect atmosphere for their home,” Nicole Bruce, Shutters and Marketing at Market Makers tells WFA.
The team at Market Makers chose Allure Polymer Plantation Shutters for the large triple hung windows at the front of the home. These shutters provided optimal control over light in the bedrooms, theatre, and office while maintaining the client’s desired view of the front of the property.
“The shutters were the perfect solution for offering privacy and light control,” says Bruce.
As the team moved on to the open plan living area, they opted for a softer, more subtle look with the Honeycomb blind. With its cellular design, the Honeycomb blind maximises energy efficiency and insulation. Manufactured from high quality polyester fabric, a 38mm cell size was chosen to cover the large sliding doors leading to the outdoor entertaining space.
“The cellular structure of the Honeycomb blind creates a pocket of air, which naturally reduces the transfer of heat – a great insulator for this home and a good thing for those chilly Picton nights,” Bruce explains.
The master suite, located toward the back of the home, was fitted with Allure Polymer Plantation Shutters for the four large windows surrounding the room. The classic white shutters contrasted beautifully with the deep blue walls, creating a calming and serene atmosphere.
In the luxuriously styled bathroom and ensuite, shutters were the obvious choice due to their water resistance and easy cleaning.
“The finished product in these rooms is truly stunning, and the client was thrilled with the results,” Bruce notes.
The laundry room saw the addition of the Sheer Elegance blind, which combined opaque and mesh fabric to create a double layered blind. The client desired a simple but unique option for a door covering in the laundry room, and the white Sheer Elegance blind perfectly complemented the neutral colors of the home’s furnishings, as well as the textured tile and clean, white joinery.
Reflecting on the project, Bruce expresses the team’s satisfaction, saying, “The homeowners were extremely grateful for the expertise and quality workmanship received during their complete renovation. All in all, we are thrilled to be able to deliver yet another impressive result.”
