EUROPEAN DESIGN MEETS AUSTRALIAN OUTDOOR LIVING

ISSUE 68 SEPTEMBER 2019

Rollease Acmeda’s Feng and Frame external shading systems, launched at Super Expo 2019, look set to fulfil the needs of Australian consumers pursuing the outdoor living dream.

“As summer approaches, more and more Australians look to reimagine their outdoor living areas. It has become a growing trend, both in modern architecture and Australian culture, to embrace the outdoor parameters of a home, encompassing them as living spaces, rather than a traditional backyard.”

“Feng is Rollease Acmeda’s new flagship awning, designed by world renowned, Italian industrial designer Mario Mazzer. Fully enclosed, the LED integrated awning arms and fabric sit completely hidden within the seamless, aluminium cassette. The addition of LED is a first for the Rollease Acmeda awning range. Both the cassette and the arms illuminate at the touch of button, making this a hybrid day and night solution for Australian homes. Featuring a unique and symmetrically round cassette, Feng’s European styling is both stunning and functional.”

Frame is Rollease Acmeda’s first ever retractable roofing system. Built to protect from sun and rain and designed with a slim cassette, the Frame system attaches to existing conservatories and pergolas to create a sheltered area that is protected from the elements, all year round.

“Frame utilises a highpressure gas spring system that promises rattle-free movement and constant tension across the length of the system, Frame can also be configured with Rollease Acmeda’ signature side guide technology, Z-Lock, to provide superior tension across all four sides of the fabric and prevent any undesired rippling or sagging of fabric on larger applications.”

“These two new products are ambitiously growing the presence of the motorisation and hardware manufacturer in the external shade sector.”
