The new Serge Ferrari fabrics come in at the same price as Weinor’s standard fibreglass screen collection, with shorter delivery times.
For specialist retailers supplying external Screens, fabric selection is about more than colour. Solar performance, outward visibility, stability under tension and reliable supply are all important considerations.
To provide greater choice across these requirements, Weinor Australia has expanded its Screen range with 23 new fibreglass fabrics from the Soltis 7635 series, complementing the existing Sergé 600 fibreglass collection.
Weinor Australia expands its fibreglass screen range with Soltis 7635
“External screens are increasingly being considered as part of the overall solar shading solution rather than simply an add-on,” says Simon Meyer, Managing Director of Weinor Australia. “The addition of Soltis 7635 gives our retailers greater choice while retaining the technical performance required for external applications.”
Developed by Serge Ferrari, Soltis 7635 is constructed from coated fibreglass yarns and incorporates anti-fray technology. At approximately 0.73 mm thick and 515 g/m², it provides the dimensional stability required for vertical tension applications. The fabric’s micro-perforated construction is designed to reduce glare and solar heat gain while maintaining outward visibility and airflow. Depending on the installation and glazing combination, Soltis 7635 can achieve a gTOT as low as 0.10, providing effective solar control before heat reaches the glazing.
“For retailers, the ability to explain the difference between internal shading and stopping solar energy externally is important,” Meyer says. “A high-performance screen can contribute significantly to thermal and visual comfort while still allowing the customer to maintain their connection with the outdoors.”
The anti-fray edge technology also eliminates the need for bulky side hems, supporting a clean, flat finish within compatible systems.
Pricing, delivery and compatible applications
The 23 new fabrics are suited to Weinor vertical shading applications including VertiTex II, Valance Plus, VarioShade and selected side screen applications. They are priced identically to Weinor’s standard fibreglass screen collection and offer shorter delivery times.
“We wanted to expand the collection in a way that provides a genuine practical benefit to our partners,” Meyer says. “More colours and specification options are valuable, but competitive pricing and improved lead times are just as important when you’re trying to secure and deliver a project.”
The expanded Soltis 7635 screen collection is available now through Weinor’s exclusive distributor, Meyer Blinds. Get in touch for samples, specifications and order information.
