Meyer Blinds. Strengthening an Australian manufacturing legacy.

Issue 107 March 2026

A new chapter built on decades of expertise, uniting Australian manufacturing capability with curated collections designed for confident specification.

LEGACY.
Built on craftsmanship and design integrity
For almost 40 years, the Meyer name has stood for premium, design-led window furnishings — crafted with care and trusted by the trade. Founded in 1987 by Peter and Helen Meyer, the business was built on quality, integrity and a belief that window furnishings should shape a space, not simply fill it.

From the hand-finished Cedar Venetians to the original Le Blinde range — later refined into the Simply Natural Woven Blind collection — the Meyer approach has consistently elevated the category. Window furnishings were never an afterthought, but an integral part of the interior.

FAMILY.
Founded on family, built on quality
Now led by Simon and Damien Meyer, the business remains firmly family-owned and family-driven. Over the past decade, the generational transition has strengthened capability while protecting the standards the Meyer name represents.

With more than 50 years of combined experience, Simon and Damien bring depth across manufacturing, retail and project delivery. Supported by a long-standing team — and with Helen still actively involved — Meyer Blinds blends heritage knowledge with modern expertise across both interior and exterior shading.

ENDURING.
Peter Meyer’s enduring Australian industry legacy
Peter Meyer’s influence on the Australian industry is enduring. Before he passed away in 2025, he worked closely with Simon and Damien on the evolution of the business and the transition from Blinds by Peter Meyer to Meyer Blinds. He was proud of the direction the company was heading and supportive of the Meyer name continuing — now in a way that more clearly reflects the business it has become.

This is not a departure from the past. It is the next chapter in a proud family legacy — built on the same principles, strengthened by second-generation leadership, and positioned for the future.

LOCAL + GLOBAL.
Locally made with exclusive global connections
From its solar-powered Sydney facility, Meyer Blinds combines local manufacturing with exclusive partnerships with Europe’s leading shading specialists — Weinor, Silent Gliss + Griesser — delivering interior and exterior systems backed by generations of engineering expertise.

In a market dominated by mass-produced imports, Meyer Blinds stands apart through genuine customisation, depth of product expertise, and the capability to deliver complex, considered projects

The Meyer Standard. Same family. Same craftsmanship. A name that reflects who the business is — and where it’s going.

SIGNATURE X.
The most significant fabric update in more than 6 years

A Complete Reimagining
Signature X marks the largest update to the Signature Collection in more than 6 years, developed specifically for Meyer Blinds’ Roller, Roman and Panel Blind systems.

The collection comprises of 22 curated fabric ranges sourced from leading global mills, with more than 60% entirely new. Updated textures, refined finishes and contemporary colour palettes expand design direction while retaining proven Signature best-sellers already specified with confidence.

Technical performance has been strengthened through an expanded selection of silver-backed fabrics for improved reflectivity and solar control, alongside broader colour-matched and charcoal backing options suited to darker exterior-facing applications. Several ranges incorporate recycled yarns and environmentally responsible production, integrating sustainability within the collection rather than isolating it.

Structured for confident specification, Signature X balances aesthetic evolution with performance integrity — reinforcing Meyer Blinds’ commitment to continual refinement across its core fabric platform.
