Windoware has recently released its new Backhung Wavefold System, which is compatible with the M-System Track and Decorative Rod range. It has also launched the new Mini Topfix Bracket for all M-System Tracks, complete with discreet Cover Plate. 

Both developments are a response to market demand and demonstrate parent company’s MCP’s commitment to supplying “world class, innovative products to our customers and the industry,” the organisation confirms. 

“Our Backhung Wavefold System allows for compatibility across multiple track and rod profiles; teamed with our current Underhung Newave System, we can now offer a Wavefold solution across every profile in our range. Our best-selling track is our M-System Square which provides a simple, sleek design favoured by the majority of the market. With Wavefold compatibility in this track profile consumers can now enjoy the look and function of the track they prefer with the beauty of Wavefold drapery.

“The new Mini Topfix Bracket has myriad benefits. Its reduced depth means it can be installed closer to the wall, reducing heat loss resulting in a more energy efficient home. The neat addition of the cover plate appeals to consumers with a keen design eye as it now blends seamlessly into the ceiling with no visible fixing screws. This bracket offers the same ease of installation as our other M-System Bracket projections, enabling M-System Tracks to be installed in an eighth of the time of any other system.

Both of the new innovations were developed and released in response to market feedback.

The company describes the current market for this category as “ripe with opportunity.” 

“We are not insensitive to, or unaffected by, market retrenchment of course. However, there is still ample opportunity whether that be through existing and/or new customer growth, new product development, utilising software and technological evolutions or diversification into alternative markets. There is never a time to stand still and so here at MCP, we simply don’t. It is incumbent on us as a manufacturing wholesaler to constantly seek ways to drive margin into our retailers; we achieve this by understanding our retailers, knowing their need for value added propositions, responding to their requirement for technically superior products and delivering innovation to them and their consumers.”

The company concludes that the increased offering of wirefree systems is influencing the market for motorisation in curtain tracking. 

“We have seen greater growth in battery operated (wire-free) motorised tracks. As with most motorised options in window furnishing, the application is retrospective. We anticipate motorised tracks to represent 15% of volume by spend within the next two years.”
