Somfy announces services + warranty update and business integration

Somfy has revealed key changes to the warranty of two of its most popular products.

Somfy’s automation solution, Connexoon Window RTS, has had its warranty period extended from two to five years, in line with the rest of Somfy’s range. Similarly, Somfy’s battery-powered motor for small to medium residential blinds, Altus 28 WireFree RTS, has also had its warranty increased from three to five years.

“We’re thrilled to bring these changes to our customers as we continue to work to find better ways to support them,” said Paul de Salis, Somfy Oceania’s Head of Marketing.

Somfy has also announced the integration of Somfy Electrical Services into Somfy Pty Ltd, as a result of the growth of the business.

“The service business has grown from its residential beginnings to now also taking on substantial commercial commissioning works,” said Somfy Oceania’s Managing Director, Stephen Eggleton.

“We foresee greater synergies and efficiencies in bringing the service business under the same roof as the main Somfy sales distribution business.”

The new Somfy Services business includes the electrical residential and commercial functions, as well as in-house technical support.
