Norman opens new Melbourne showroom

ISSUE 76 January 2021

The Norman brand continues its growth in the Australian window furnishing market, with the opening of a new showroom in Melbourne.

Despite the recent challenges in Victoria, the company says the state remains an integral part of its growth strategy. “Retailers purchase Norman products directly from Nien Made, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of window furnishings. With the opening of the Melbourne showroom, Norman’s Victorian Retail Partners can bring their customers in by appointment and demonstrate Norman’s range of products and their great features and benefits.”

“We feel the showroom will add a great deal of value to Norman’s retail partners” says Talor Harrison, Victoria’s Norman Business Development Manager. “Retail partners have the opportunity to showcase Norman product innovations like; G4 solar charged shutter motorisation, self closing louvres, 180 degree bi-fold and child safe cordless blinds and shades, amongst a host of other products. The showroom satisfies a wide range of consumer demands when it comes to styles, designs and budgets from a single supplier.”

“The Norman brand has a heritage of quality, trust and reliability. With almost 20 years of history in the Australian window furnishing market, Norman has earned a reputation for offering trouble free custom made window furnishing programs and are renowned for the quality and innovation of their products.”

“Plantation shutters are indisputably the flagship product for Norman; more than one  million Woodlore shutters were sold around the world this year. Norman’s direct wholesaling strategy for the Australian market, allows retailers around Australia access to a globally recognised, trusted and trouble-free shutter to offer their customers.”

“Given that escalating energy costs are such a major issue here in Australia, Norman’s Portrait Honeycomb shades are quickly making their mark as an energy saving alternative to more traditional window furnishing options for all sized windows, big and small. This is particularly the case where homeowners are more energy conscious or are looking for greater functionality from their window coverings.”

Norman has a “Good, Better, Best” product offering philosophy, catering for all segments of the market, from well known shutter brand Woodlore, through to the Ultra shutter brand, constructed from premium hardwood timber with options such as concealed hinges, and the widest spanning panels.

Norman represents all Nien Made’s custom made window covering programs including plantation shutters, honeycomb shades, roller shades, wood and fauxwood venetian blinds. Nien Made has over 45 years in crafting fine window furnishings, with a focus on quality manufacturing and product excellence.

Norman will host a grand opening at the new Melbourne Showroom in February 2021.
